On January the 29th, OzU VR Lab and Euromersive’s Turkeys (Michael Barngrover) organised a 48-hour remote Zoom Hackathon with Unity and Oculus plugins were explored to figure out how to set up and customize hand tracking scenes. The focus of the collaborative session was mostly on the Auto Hand: VR Physics Interaction system and the MRTK: Mixed Reality Toolkits. Communication Design Graduate Ali Leylekoğlu participated representing the Lab. The Hackathon helped the VR Lab understand further the critical aspects of hand tracking. The efforts will assist the lab in future experiments regarding this feature.
