As part of the collaborative workshop organized by Özyeğin University Faculty of Architecture and Design and Home Art Creativity Academy on May 5, 2026, Bora Sezer participated as a panel speaker and AI workshop contributor, sharing perspectives on the future of immersive technologies, artificial intelligence, and design education.
Moderated by Home Art Creativity Academy Design Editor Benan Kapucu, the panel brought together Mehmet Emin Bayraktar, Kartal Turhan, Bora Sezer, and Ulaş Tigin from Özyeğin University’s Faculty of Architecture and Design. Discussions focused on the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence, interdisciplinary design processes, and emerging creative technologies.
During the discussion, Bora Sezer addressed the intersection of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and AI-supported visual communication. From a communication design perspective, he emphasized that AI-generated visual languages are beginning to fundamentally transform how people interact with physical environments, objects, and spatial experiences. According to Sezer, the future points toward increasingly fluid, adaptive, and personalized digital experiences seamlessly integrated into everyday life.
He also highlighted the growing importance of “physical AI” — intelligent systems capable not only of generating content, but also of perceiving environments through sensors, navigating physical spaces, and manipulating real-world objects. As physical and digital realities continue to merge, Sezer suggested that our perception of reality itself may evolve into a more dynamic, responsive, and continuously mediated experience.
Alongside the panel, the workshop brought together students from Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Communication and Design, and Industrial Design to collaboratively develop AI-supported design concepts using products and materials from Kale, Kalebodur, and İstikbal.
Within the workshop, Bora Sezer also provided AI tutoring and creative guidance to transform architectural and spatial design concepts into AI-generated visuals and cinematic videos. To support this process, students from his “Design with AI” course joined the workshop teams as AI assistants and creative collaborators, helping architecture students translate their physical models and conceptual ideas into AI-enhanced visual narratives and moving image content.
The participating Design with AI students were:
- Maye Caferzade
- Eda Erginoğlu
- Ada Tingaz
- Lana Jamal
- Azra Sadıkoğlu
- Alara Yılmaz
The workshop reflected Özyeğin University’s commitment to interdisciplinary experimentation, emerging technologies, and innovative educational models that combine AI, immersive media, and collaborative creativity.
